santurce: strawberry limonada

In collaboration with the Puerto Rican artist Fernando L. Norat, known on social media as "Tropiwhat," we have crafted a Strawberry Lime Gose Ale.

The artwork reflects the everyday life of Puerto Rico, featuring elements such as household fans, window air conditioners, a plastic pool, and the mountains of Aibonito. This is a tribute to the artist’s roots, as he was born and raised in Aibonito, Puerto Rico. The design also incorporates playful themes, like alligators, referencing the recent overpopulation of these creatures on the island.

We chose the Gose ale style because we wanted to create a beer reminiscent of lemonade—perfect for combating the Puerto Rican heat. This type of beer is rich in minerals, as salt is used during the brewing process. Lacto is added during fermentation to achieve a "sour" profile, and the beer is finished with natural lime and strawberry.
